Card Makin' Night

I have been making cards for several hours today.  I'm lucky that I can take pretty much as much time as I'd like.  I took a little break to watch My Pink Stamper LIVE.  Robyn and Karlee are a riot!!  I've been casing ideas today and putting my own twist on them and I actually made some cards on my own.  I've been making eight of everything so I can start to get ready for gift sets.  I haven't posted in awhile, because I re-bookmarked my blog and only bookmarked the reader portion.  Ho-hum...I got a couple of new Cricut Cartridges, so I'm anxious to use them in my DBHS scrapbooks for my guys.  The Old West is perfect for DBHS, because the alphabet that's included is totally the same lettering as the school.  There's a longhorn, but I"m going to pretend it's a Brahma! lol  Well, back to work...I'll post the pix later.

I went shopping...

Well, I did some shopping this week and I'm super excited!  I finally got the Cricut cartridge, Create a Critter.  I've really wanted that one.  I got some googley eyes in different sizes to add to some of the finished products.  Of course I got some more paper; that's a necessity.  Most of my shopping was for little stuff, accents like hemp and bling.  Can you believe I even bought stuff for school already?  Moose Book folders...check!  I made a card on Tuesday.  I followed a color scheme challenge on SCS.  I'll post it here, because I can't figure out how to make the file smaller so I can post it there.  I'll figure all the "posting" stuff eventually.  Still no readers, but that's OK.  I'm getting things accomplished, because this blog is making me responsible.

Some cards...

These are some cards that I made.  Some are from scraps that I had from SU card kits where I didn't have the stamps the directions called for, so I made something out of it myself.  I got the ideas for some of the cards from two great SU demonstrators, Tami White and Angie Huey!  Thanks gals!  I used my Cricut and the A Walk in My Garden cartridge to make the ladybug.  I used the Fiskar's grass punch and a SU sentiment from Dare to Be Darling.  Most of the paper is from SU.  I'm just learning how to post photos and descriptions, so forgive the unorganized description.  I promise I'll get better.

Never Too Busy to Craft

Giving It a Try

I've been enjoying my nice and tidy crafting space.  I've made some cards and really like them.  I had some pieces of paper from kits or card making events that I never finished, so I had to figure out what to do with the different sized paper.  I think they turned out just fine.  Last night, I made a b-day card with a stamp I've had for close to 15 years.  I used my Quikutz stuff with it and I love the card.  I'm going to try and upload the photos.  They are all transferred to my computer, so wish me luck!

The Finish Line

I did it!  My room is finished and I even had time to make some cards tonight!  It feels great!  Everything is tidy and in its place ready for more fun tomorrow.  I have to thank my dh for all of his help and support.  Thanks also to my mom for cheering from the side.  My brother was even cheering me on long distance.  Thanks to ds #1 and #2 were also awesome!  I've taken the photos and now just need to figure out how to upload them.

Ten Steps Closer

Today was productive.  I decided to get the rails/racks from IKEA so my dear hubby and I took a quick trip to West Covina to pick them up.  When we got there, my hubby thought I should get some little pails to hang from the rails/racks.  He's sooo smart!  Everything is hanging from its new home.  Even the curtains are pressed and hung so that there is no longer a red glow.  Hey, I even loaded my new ATG gun and that's a miracle!!!!  Tomorrow will be another day and I plan to get a lot done.  I'm getting so close to the finish line, I'm almost giddy.
